Fabio Gutierrez – bass, double bass

A lifelong student of music, Fabio took up the electric bass in college, followed by the double bass a number of years later. He played with numerous bands and ensembles in the Washington, D.C. area, some of which attained local and national radio airplay. In 2006 he began studying double-bass and Jazz with local double-bassist John Previti (Danny Gatton, Paul Simon, Charlie Byrd). Later, he pursued private classical study for 6 years with Paul Denola (National Symphony Orchestra, Oregon Symphony) while also playing in Virginia’s Loudoun Symphony Orchestra and subbing with other local classical ensembles. Since moving to New Hampshire with his wife in 2016, Fabio continues to play local venues and theaters with a diverse assortment of groups in the Mount Washington Valley.
