Mountain Top Music Center Community Orchestra is a free, non-auditioned ensemble welcoming musicians of any age with some experience and/or comfort with large-ensemble repertoire. All orchestral instruments are welcome. The Orchestra rehearses weekly September through May and performs three or more concerts throughout the year, with a special summer session in July and August culminating in an early September concert. The programs vary from classical repertoire to film music to collaborations with dance and theater groups, and more. Concerts take place in the Majestic Theatre and throughout the region and are open to all by donation. Though audience members are of course welcome to wear their finery for the occasion, there is no dress code and concerts are friendly, interactive, and low formality. All ages are welcome to attend performances.
