The Vision of Mountain Top Music Center

Mountain Top is a music school in which everyone who is interested in music can participate. We provide introductory awareness, educational and recreational involvement for many students, and appropriate support for serious aspiring musicians, which requires a commitment to providing scholarship funds.

Experienced Faculty:
We select our faculty for their professional level musicianship, kind mentoring, and pedagogy appropriate for each student.

Student Support:
Students of all ages of the Mountain Top Music Center will experience classes and lessons as friendly, positive, rigorous and fun. Guidance will be provided to every student to set appropriate musical goals, which for some means reaching the pinnacle of the art and for others a self-chosen mastery level. Appropriate support and challenges will be offered to students and their parents.

Musical Experiences:
Student performances will be scheduled and conducted in a supportive and emotionally safe manner. Performing and listening frequently helps students chart paths to musical goals and gives them a sense of the opportunities open to them.

Opportunities to Listen and Learn:
Typical monthly concerts include a wide variety: a popular at-home chamber music series in collaboration with the International Musical Arts Institute, jazz evenings, choral offerings folk singers, and a cappella groups. Many who attend our concerts were once or still are music students. Our community performances link our students with listeners for shared musical pleasures.
