- Mountain Top Music Center offers three semesters per year. Registration is required for participation in most Mountain Top programs.
For New Students:
- Registration is held on a first-come-first served basis. Private lesson days and times will be arranged at registration.
-
For Continuing Students:
- It is the responsibility of continuing students to reserve their space or spaces during the re-registration period at the end of each semester. Specific dates are listed in the newsletter and on the website. Students who do not re-register will not have a reserved space in classes or lessons.
Tuition:
- Mountain Top sets tuition fees prior to each semester. Tuition charges are listed with the Class Schedule and in our newsletter and on the website. Tuition assistance is available on a sliding scale basis. Visit our tuition section for more information. Families with two or more enrollments per semester may take a 5% discount off total tuition.
Payments:
- Payment for a full semesters tuition may be made by check or money order by printing our Registration Application. Checks should be made out to Mountain Top Music Center or MTMC. There will be a $10 fee on all returned checks.
Mountain Top Music Center operates on a fee for service basis. This means that students enrolled in lessons or classes must have paid for those classes or lessons before they take place. Specifically, before receiving confirmation of enrollment, MTMC must have received a deposit equal to the cost of one class or lesson. Students then must pay fees for the remainder of the classes so that they are always at least up-to-date in paying for lessons/classes. Students whose accounts are in arrears will not be able to continue lessons or classes or enroll for future sessions.
Refunds and Withdrawal:
- Tuition refunds are given when the lesson or class is canceled by the music center.
If after the first lesson the student decides not to continue and if the office is notified at least 24 hours prior to the second lesson or class, the student will be refunded all tuition except the first lesson fee. If the office is not notified before the second lesson, the student is liable for the full semesters tuition.
Missed Lessons:
- Students pay for all lessons in the semester regardless of attendance. There are no makeup's for individual absences in group classes. Makeup's for notified student absences in the private lesson schedule are limited to one per semester A student is required to notify the office of any absence out of courtesy to the instructor. This does not exempt the student from payment. If a teacher is absent, the student will be notified as promptly as possible.
All Teacher absences will be made up.
