Judy Kennedy – trustee, chair

After graduating from Mount Holyoke College in 1961, Judy Kennedy began a career in book publishing at Little, Brown and Company, where she held various sales and administrative positions for 34 years. As chief administrative officer and senior vice president, she was the first woman officer and board member of the 150-year-old Boston company.

In 1995, she retired from corporate life to join her husband as co-owner of Whitehorse Press, a motorcycle gear and book publishing company, which he had founded five years before; together they moved the company and themselves to the Mount Washington Valley.

Judy became an MTMC advisor in 2008 and a trustee in 2011. Almost immediately, she became chairman of Mountain Top Music Center’s concert committee, charged with developing a diverse and top-quality home and public concert series to help support the school and its students. Inspired by those students, Judy has become a student herself in recent years, studying piano at Mountain Top.
