    Seth Austen
Seth Austen - Old Time String Band, Fretted Folk Instruments, Folk Band
Seth teaches Folk Band for Beginners and Old Time String Band. Seth has more than 30 years of music-teaching experience and performs regularly on many different folk instruments.
 
   
       
       
       
       
       
       
  Chad Cummings
Chad Cummings - Guitar and Piano
Chad facilitates the Jam Band and teaches piano, voice, guitar, and bass. He is an accomplished piano improvisationist and a creative guitar and bass player. He performs regularly in the area.

    Brent LaCasce
Brent LaCasce - Trumpet
C. Brent LaCasce received a Master of Music in Jazz Studies at the University of Southern Maine. His studies also include Fryeburg Academy, Bowdoin College, UNH, the US Army School of Music, and Heidelberg University (Germany). Mr. LaCasce is currently the Director of Music and fine arts chair at Fryeburg Academy in Maine, where his ensembles have won multiple state, regional, and national awards in both instrumental and choral competitions. 2009 marks Fryeburg Academy's 10th state vocal jazz title and 8th instrumental jazz title since 1997.

Mr. LaCasce also serves as Jazz department chair at Camp Encore-Coda, a summer music camp in western Maine, and as vocal jazz instructor for the University of Southern Maine. He is a vocal, trumpet, and piano soloist with the 8th ID Band (Bad Kreuznach, Germany), and the US Army Field Band.
   
       
       
       
       
       
       
       
    Lillian Lee Morse
Lillian Lee Morse - Voice and Piano
Lillian teaches voice and piano and leads the Adult Singers Workshop. She is an accomplished soprano with many years of teaching experience. Many of her students have entered collegiate music programs.
 
   
       
       
       
       
       
    Chris Nourse
Christopher Nourse - Violin and Viola
In addition to teaching violin and viola, coordinating music for our teen and adult chamber music program, Chris leads Novice Orchestra and conducts our Community Orchestra. He was educated at the Hartt School of Music and performed professionally in the Boston area before moving to New Hampshire. He continues his performance career by playing in the Granite State Symphony, the Granite State Opera, The White Mountain String Quartet, and several other ensembles large and small.
   
       
       
       
       
       
       
         
    Sharon Novak
Sharon Novak - Children's Music
Trained as an early childhood educator and with lots of experience she integrates an understanding of childhood development with clearly defined incremental music skills , Sharon plays guitar, piano, and sings with a beautiful, clear soprano voice and teaches Pre-School music, Group Guitar and Keyboard Kids.
 
   
       
       
       
       
       
    Eric Rollnick
Eric Rollnick - Drum Set
Eric started playing music at the age of eight with a drum and bugle corp in New Jersey. Since then percussion has always been part of his life. He played in rock bands in his teen years and later branched out into blues and jazz. Eric has a B.S. in elementary education. His other endeavors include directing the local community steel band Steel Dreams, playing African drums and congas. Eric has also been a contra dance caller since 1981.
   
       
       
       
       
       
       
       
    Mike Sakash
Mike Sakash - Saxophone and Clarinet
Mike Sakash holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts in Saxophone Performance, African American/Jazz Studies, and Music Education, as well as a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies and Contemporary Media from the Eastman School of Music. He has studied saxophone with Lynn Klock and Raymond Ricker, improvisation with Yusef Lateef, and jazz composition and arranging with Fred Sturm. Before joining the faculty at Mountain Top Music Center, Mike was Associate Professor of Music at Washington & Jefferson College (PA). Currently, Mike records and performs widely, and serves as a clinician and guest artists throughout the country, in addition to teaching saxophone and improvisation at Mountain Top Music Center.
   
       
       
       
       
       
       
    Ellen Schwindt
Ellen Schwindt - Children's Music, Piano, Strings and Violin
Ellen teaches young children's classes and violin and piano lessons. She brings more than 15 years' experience working with students of all ages in diverse settings. She performs on both violin and piano and especially enjoys accompanying students. She is an amateur composer whose works have been performed in the community.
   
       
       
       
       
       
    Sarah Sawin Flute Teacher
Sarah Sawin - Flute
Sarah is currently pursuing her bachelors degree in music performance at the University of Southern Maine. She has received such awards as the Pearl Starbird Music Scholarship, the Frank Petillo Music Award, the Eva Mullford Music Scholarship, and the Anne Gannett Best Woodwind Prize. Currently Sarah studies with Jean Rosenblum and performs in her own classical guitar/flute duo.
   
       
       
       
       
       
       
    Jed Wilson
Jed Wilson - Piano
Jed Wilson, a native of Gladstone, Oregon, has been an active performer and educator in Portland Oregon, New York City, and Boston. He received his degree in Jazz Studies from the New England Conservatory where he performed with the NEC Honors Jazz Ensemble, Grammy-nominated cellist Rushad Eggleston, and vocalist Dominique Eade. Jed has recently toured extensively throughout North America as a member of the Heather Masse Band.He currently resides in Lovell, ME.
