Dr. Therese Davison is a music educator at Kennett High School in North Conway, New Hampshire where she teaches instrumental music as well as theory and composition. She is an advisor to the community music school, is president of the area’s community band, teaches privately, instructs at Granite State College, performs professionally when her schedule allows, and is on the NHMEA Executive Board. While serving as the Spring Conference Chair for several years on the NHMEA Executive Board, she was responsible for retaining clinicians and developing workshops. She has taught all curriculum strands included in the 2014 Music Standards at one time or another during her 30-year career. Her teaching experiences include pre-K through college level.

Mrs. Davison received a Doctor of Arts from Franklin Pierce University in 2012 and has presented a variety of workshops at conferences in the North Country. Additionally, she holds CAGS, Professional Certification, and Master’s Degrees from Plymouth State University. She earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1987. While attending UMass, she was Drum Major of the Minuteman Marching Band under the direction of George N. Parks and studied saxophone with Lynn Klock. She was appointed to the Statue of Liberty All-American Marching Band in 1986 and directed the Hoop Band for two seasons.
She lives in Conway with her husband Randy and has one son, Seth.

Therese joined Mountain Top as an advisor in 2003.
